Another number, another Special prize — and why that still isn't proof of anything

22 August 2026 — Sports Toto, draw 6174/26

Yesterday I bet on Sports Toto using 4DPAU™'s own top-10 frequency list again — this time an iPerm system bet covering all 24 unique permutations of 6197, the number ranked #10 in the report: the least frequent number on the list, last seen back on 17 June. One of those 24 permutations, 9716, landed in the Special prize tier of the actual draw.

This is the second time something like this has happened since launch — see First Strike for the first. I want to be more careful this time, not less, about what that does and doesn't mean.

The 4DPAU report PDF for Sports Toto on 19 August 2026, showing 6197 ranked #10, the last number in the top 10 by historical frequency.
The 4DPAU™ report the number came from — 6197 ranked #10, the least frequent of the top 10, 4× in 366 days.
Same math as last time, worth repeating precisely because this is the second time: every 4D draw is an independent, random event. Nothing about 366 days of history changes the odds of the next draw. An iPerm bet covering 24 numbers, drawn from any list — the most frequent number or, as this time, the least frequent — carries roughly the same small chance of landing somewhere across a 23-slot prize field. Two hits since launch is not a pattern of skill. It's what you'd statistically expect once in a while from repeated betting on a low-but-real chance, and no amount of retelling it changes that arithmetic.

I'm choosing to publish this one too, for the same reason as the first: it's real, and hiding it would be its own kind of dishonesty. But I also don't want two data points to quietly start reading like a track record, so I'll say it directly — if you're using 4DPAU™, these two field notes are not the reason to trust the numbers, and the absence of a note on any other draw day is not evidence either way. The product is, and stays, an honest historical record. Read it like a ticket, not a tip, on this draw and on every one before and after it.

Update: there was a third one, the following day — see Third Strike, which is where this series ends.
